Independence

We are an independent comparison and information service — not an insurer or broker. Our guides, reviews and comparisons are written to help you, not to promote any single provider. Being paid by a partner never buys a better review or ranking. See how we make money.

How we create content

• Researched: our guides are based on how insurance actually works in South Africa, and on each insurer's publicly stated products and positioning.
• Reviewed: content is checked by the Savvy Insurance team before publishing.
• Plain language: we translate insurance jargon into clear, everyday English.
• Not advice: our content is general information, not financial advice. For advice about your situation, speak to a registered financial adviser or the insurer directly.

Accuracy and updates

Insurance products, benefits and prices change often. We show a "last updated" date on our key guides and review pages, and we revise content as the market changes. We never publish fabricated statistics, ratings or customer reviews. Where we quote figures, we aim to source and date them.
