Ethics Policy

How we keep our content honest and independent.

Savvy Insurance is committed to publishing information that South Africans can trust. This ethics policy explains the standards our team works to.

Independence & conflicts of interest

We disclose our commercial relationships openly (see how we make money and ownership & funding). A commercial relationship never dictates a factual assessment. Where we compare insurers, we base it on their publicly stated positioning, not on what they pay.

Honesty & accuracy

We do not knowingly publish anything false or misleading. We avoid hype and "guaranteed cheapest" claims, and we separate fact from opinion.

Fairness to insurers

We aim to represent each insurer accurately and in context. Our reviews are overviews, not endorsements, and we make that clear.

Reader interests first

We write to help you make an informed decision. We remind readers that we are not a licensed FSP and do not provide financial advice, and we encourage speaking to a registered adviser and reading the insurer's own documents.

Privacy

We treat your personal information with care and in line with POPIA. See our Privacy Policy.

Accountability

If we get something wrong, we fix it — see our corrections policy. To raise a concern, use our complaints process or contact us.
