Who we are

Savvy Insurance is an independent insurance comparison and information service for South African consumers. We operate editorially independently of any single insurer, and no insurer owns or controls our content or rankings.

How we are funded

We make money in two ways, both at no cost to you:

• Lead generation. When you request a quote, we may pass your details to selected insurer or broker partners who pay us for the introduction.
• Affiliate commission. We may earn a commission when you take out cover through a partner we link to.

These commercial relationships help us keep Savvy free to use. They do not change the facts in our guides or the order in which we present information for your benefit. For full detail, see how we make money.

Editorial independence

Our guides, insurer overviews and comparisons are researched and written by our editorial team and fact-checked by our reviewers, according to our editorial guidelines and publishing principles. A partner cannot pay to change a factual assessment.

Regulatory position

Savvy Insurance is an information and comparison service, not a licensed financial services provider (FSP), and we do not provide financial advice. Product decisions should be made with a registered financial adviser and by reading the insurer's own policy documents.
